About Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S. Band
Carlos Jones is Cleveland reggae. For more than four decades he has carried roots reggae through this city, first with First Light and I-Tal, and since the mid-90s with The P.L.U.S. Band — Peace, Love, Unity and Struggle.
His sound is warm, live and unmistakably his own: deep one-drop grooves, horns, harmonies and songs about community, perseverance and joy. If you have been to a summer festival, a park concert or a club show in Northeast Ohio, chances are you have already sung along.
At Reggae Fest Cleveland 2027 he plays the 6:00 PM slot on Saturday — the roots reggae day — right in the heart of the lakefront at Voinovich Park.
